After seven years, Conor McGregor is again giving sparks to the loss he suffered against Floyd Mayweather. There are already talks in the combat sports community that fans will get to see Floyd and Mayweather compete in boxing for the second time. But the Irishman didn’t forget what happened at their last meeting.

On August 26, 2017, The Notorious was coming up against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. It was really a comfortable fight for “Money,” as it was his ring where he knocked out the UFC star. Like the UFC, Conor was giving a boxing-striking class to the legend. As the round progressed, Conor McGregor started to get tired, and that’s where Mayweather’s game started.

McGregor was the 50th victim of Mayweather, as he decided to take retirement afterwards with a 50-0 undefeated record. This fight was one of the biggest pay-per-view fights as both fighters got $100+ million in their purses. After that, Floyd continued boxing in exhibition matches, but McGregor’s next match broke the MMA’s biggest pay-per-view record.

As the rematch talk has already started in the combat sports community, many fans are teasing McGregor about his past Encounter failure. But Conor doesn’t remember this fight as he got knocked out by Floyd; instead, there is someone else he is targeting this time. This time, Conor is also predicting that he will secure the win over Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

One of the fans posted the video where he showed the highlight of Conor throwing punches and one body shot hurting the legend. The fan gave the caption “Let’s not forget when McGregor hurt Floyd with a body shot and he called it a “low blow.”

Conor McGregor comes up with the reply “Round 9. I was playing ping pong with this guys head in there at many times in this fight. If you don’t think there is some real nice adjustments that can be made and implemented in a second fight, to get the job finished, you’re silly.” Mentioning that it was a body shot, Robert Byrd separated them, which he thinks is the reason for his defeat.

Now Mayweather, being one of the best athletes, is still in good shape at the age of 46, and McGregor has just recovered from a broken ankle injury that he received against Dustin Poreir at UFC 264. Conor McGregor is still waiting for his comeback. McGregor’s next opponent will be Michael Chandler at UFC later this year.
