Conor McGregor is the biggest star in the UFC. The former two-division champion last fought in July of 2021. Fans and fighters alike eagerly anticipate the return of the Irish fighter. Dana White recently talked with McGregor as the two were in UAE. However, hours after the talk, McGregor posted a cryptic tweet with a picture of Ronaldo. He followed it up with another tweet that suggested Michael Chandler and Renato Moicano were the main event for UFC 300.

McGregor re-entered the USADA testing pool in October of 2023. As the USADA had a mandatory six-month testing period where the fighter cannot fight, fans speculated his return at UFC 300 in April of 2024. Now, McGregor posted a tweet much to the amusement of MMA fans. This is what he tweeted.

McGregor promised fans about his fight announcement on New Year’s Day of 2024. An interesting thing to note is that the USADA will not be UFC’s anti-doping partner starting from 2024. Due to their policy, the USADA was the main reason for McGregor not fighting in 2023.

Nevertheless, the return of McGregor is sure to break records. Michael Chandler is the favorite to face McGregor on his return. However, other names like Dustin Poirier, Nate Diaz, and Justin Gaethje are also in the rumor mills.
