What was supposed to be a joyous Halloween this year for the McGregor family went south after Conor McGregor and his family were accused of being insensitive as the fighter posted pictures with his mother who allegedly wore Blackface for her Halloween costume.
Margaret McGregor does not always make the most appearances on her son’s popular Instagram but unfortunately, one of the very few times she was featured on the Irish superstar’s Instagram handle, Margaret McGregor faced backlash from the fans for her Halloween costume. The 63-year-old was accused of using “Blackface” as part of the outfit.
However, to clear the controversy, the McGregor family’s representative spoke to The Mirror about the costume. McGregor’s mother denied the accusations through her spokesperson as the rep said, “The McGregor family loves Halloween. Mrs. McGregor had spiders painted on her face since her costume was a ghoul risen from the grave. Any other interpretation was just wrong and truly unfortunate.”
Conor McGregor posted the pictures from his Halloween party on his Instagram where his mom’s costume was revealed. From the looks of it, it is very difficult to tell if spiders were drawn on Mrs. Margaret’s face as she claims. However, zooming into the picture will allow you to see some patterns that might give the Notorious One’s mom, the benefit of the doubt.

It has been over a year since we saw The Notorious One in the octagon. His last fight was in July 2021 against his nemesis Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. An unfortunate leg injury saw the Irishman facing defeat and has shown no signs of fighting as of yet.
However, the fighter has been providing updates to his fans on his social media and it is unreal how jacked Conor McGregor is right now. The fighter went from being a 145-pounder to now looking like he weighs more than 200 pounds. From the looks of his recent post on Instagram, it is going to take a lot of weight cut for the fighter to get back to the lightweight division.

McGregor is no stranger to the welterweight division and many fans believe that is where the superstar’s future lies in fighting. It is going to be interesting to see how Conor returns to compete after his brutal injury.
