Conor McGregor is the biggest name in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. His opponents always enjoyed a few perks for fighting him. Not to mention the huge amount they took home. Reportedly, the top ten PPV list featuring the Irishman made a combined 12 million in numbers. However, Donald Cerrone, a former opponent of McGregor, shockingly reveals he had no ‘Red Panty Night.’ The term emerged from one of McGregor’s iconic press conference moments referring to a huge payday.

Donald Cerrone recently made an appearance in Dale Brisby’s Rodeo Time Podcast. During their conversation, ‘Cowboy’ revealed he didn’t get any increment in pay for the Conor McGregor fight. Here is what Cowboy said:

I would always sign, which is unheard of, eight-fight deals... I'm locked into that. It's not like three fights in I can be like, 'Time to renegotiate... because I'm fighting Conor!' No, you still have four more fights on your contract... Everyone's like, 'Red panty night, you got paid!' No I didn't. I got paid what I always got paid.

It marked the return of ‘The Notorious’ after losing to his nemesis Khabib Nurmagomedov. McGregor ran through ‘Cowboy’ in just 40 seconds and finished the fight via TKO.

I could go back to that day that I hung it out to dry, and to me that day is the Conor McGregor fight. I threw it away before I even ever walked out that door. I never wanted to talk about quitting before I even got to the arena. Yeah, he gave me an exit and I took it like I just never wanted to be there. It was the craziest thing.
