Teammate of Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, accurately predicted the result of UFC 295 main event title fight.

Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka fought each other at UFC 295 for the UFC light heavyweight title on November 11. The fight was a highly anticipated matchup because of their unique fighting resume and style. Many people predicted a win for Pereira, and among them was Conor McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis.

During a live interview with The MMA Hour, Danis had an in-depth conversation with Ariel Helwani. Subsequently, during their discussion, Helwani mentioned how Danis had spent some time training with Pereira before his bout with Logan Paul. At this time, Danis predicted the UFC 295 title fight. This is what he said: 

That man is a fuc*ing savage. He’s a scary dude... He’s going to be a double champion. I think he knocks out Jiri in the 2nd round.

After spending a short period with him, Danis was able to get a good grasp of Pereira as a fighter. Furthermore, he had a “Mystic Mac’ moment like McGregor because he accurately predicted the second-round KO days before the fight. Pereira and Danis have a good friendship.

Subsequently, Danis stated that Prochazka had a sloppy fighting style, which was slow but powerful. However, Danis knew that Pereira was a much more technical fighter than Prochazka and had much more devastating punching power.

However, at the UFC 295 post-fight conference, Pereira mentioned Danis and said he was rooting for him. In addition, Pereira reflected on his time training with Danis before his recent fights and how he enjoyed it. Even though they only had two training sessions, Pereira felt that Danis had a lot of talent in MMA.

Subsequently, Pereira revealed that the former Bellator fighter was now considering joining the UFC. Furthermore, Pereira stated that he was very excited about this and will be rooting for Danis in his UFC career.
