Dana White drops stunning matchup announcements featuring Beneil Dariush vs Islam Makhachev’s ‘toughest battle’ and Dan Hooker vs Bobby Green; fans react

UFC fight announcements are always a high-anticipation event. Dana White revealed two highly anticipated matchups. The main events pits seasoned lightweight fighter Beneil Dariush against rising sensation Arman Tsarukyan, who many presume was Islam Makhachev’s hardest bout.

An exciting fight for the co-main event in the Lightweight division has also been announced. Dan Hooker will face Bobby Green on December 2nd inside the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Dan Hooker recently defeated Jalin Turner in the main event at UFC 290. Meanwhile, Green KOed rising contender Grant Dawson in 33 seconds in his second UFC main event after submitting Tony Ferguson in a one-sided battle at UFC 291.

This co-main event will also be a 5 round fight. Dana White announced this card via X. Referring to Arman Tsarukyan, Dana White said this:

Tsarukyan is the guy that many people believe has the best shot of anyone in the top 15 to take out Islam Makhachev. He has been the dark horse of the division and a win here puts him in the top 4 on the verge of a title shot.

Dariush’s 8-fight victory run came to an end in a sad setback at the hands of former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira. Arman Tsarukyan on the other hand, has failed to defeat a top-ranked lightweight despite facing strong opposition in the past. However, Tsrukyan was arguably the only fighter to date that matched Islam Makhachev’s grappling skills.

He did fall short in that debut fight, but he hopes to have a rematch with him and is confident that he can beat him this time around. If he wins against Daruish, he will most likely get into the top 4 and be a title contender.

MMA fans are gearing up for an exhilarating clash. This card has some intense fights and the event promises to bring high-octane action and tough rivalry inside the octagon.

Fans of combat sports are in high spirits after Dana White announced the latest Fight Card. This could be a welcome relief to most fans after recent UFC events were marred by injury and cancellation of exciting bouts. Especially, UFC 295, where Jon Jones was supposed to fight Stipe Miocic.
