Dana White calls fan a “Di*k” for asking UFC boss about fighter’s pay
Dana White
Dana White recently held a QnA on his official Twitter account where he suggested his fans and followers come up with some questions. After some time, White answered some of the questions by making short clips of him answering. The first ever question to White as expected was about the fighters pay.
One fan asked White about being cheap and not paying fighters what they deserve. He asked:
“Why are you so cheap and pay fighters less than what they should be paid?.”
While responding to this White was completely annoyed and called the fan a d***. White explained that people don’t know what fighters actually get paid and it’s normal that fighters will just ask for more money with time.
“First of all, you are a d***. Let’s start there and you don’t know what fighters get paid. Um, everybody wants more money, everybody needs more money. It’s always gonna be an issue,” said White.
This issue regarding fighters pay is not just one sided as many fighters are glad that UFC gave them a platform. Those fighters aren’t complaining about their pay, however, listening to one side of the story is completely ignorant. If fighters don’t change they should speak about the issue as some are doing.
Dana White and UFC under constant heat of paying fighters less money
The whole controversy regarding the fighters pay started at the beginning of the year when youtuber turned boxer, Jake Paul accused White of it.
Jake and Dana had an online beef and continued for some time and during that time Paul was trying his best to expose White for exploiting his fighters. This also prompted a few fighters such as Francis Ngannou, Luke Rockhold to come out and be a part of this campaign. Most of the fight fans had similar thoughts and criticize UFC for being a multi billion dollar company and paying fighters only $50 k as fight bonuses.

Fighters pay is a issue that is not that simple to resolve and it will take a lot of changes from both UFC as well as fighters to come up with a solution which is mutually agreeable.
