The UFC president Dana White, who is now synonymous with the fight game also has become a very influential person in MMA. Tom Brady is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He spent his first 20 seasons with the New England Patriots. He is regarded as one of the most decorated and accomplished players in NFL history and is widely considered the greatest quarterback of all time.
In an interview with the Gronks, UFC President Dana White revealed that he had a deal done for Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski to join the Las Vegas Raiders. According to the UFC president, Raiders coach Jon Gruden nullified the deal at the last minute.
While talking with The Gronks on ESPN ahead of UFC 278, the UFC president was convinced to tell the story of Brady joining the Raiders back when he was a free agent in 2020 by Rob Gronkowski. Dana bragged that he’d brokered a deal for Brady and Gronk to go to the Raiders — but that former Raiders coach Jon Gruden put the kibosh on it.

During the “UFC with the Gronks” broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+ for UFC 278 on Saturday night. Rob Gronkowski introduced the subject on the show, stating White gave Brady a recruiting pitch when he was a free agent and then asked, “what went wrong” and why Brady didn’t sign with Vegas.
The UFC President inquired, “Do I really tell this story right now, Do you want me to tell this story?” later revealing, “I worked to put that deal together for Brady and Gronk to come to the Raiders, and It was almost a done deal. And at the last minute, Gruden blew the deal up and said that he didn’t want him and all hell broke loose, man. It was crazy.“

“And Brady was already looking at houses. It wasn’t said yet that Gronk was going to be coming. So Las Vegas would have had Brady and Gronk the year that the Bucs won the Super Bowl except Gruden blew the deal up. there’s so much story that goes with this behind the scenes.” White further added.
Gronkowski, who asked the question confirmed the story and replied that he was glad things worked out the way they did. “I’m glad it did not go through, It all worked out for the best, man. I’m glad we went to Tampa, man. It just worked out. I love that place.”
