UFC President Dana White has been widely seen as the villain in Fighter Pay arguments. In the past, many UFC fighters such as Jorge Masvidal, Jon Jones, and Francis Ngannou have come out stating displeasure on getting fairly compensated. Recently, Francis Ngannou and UFC disagreed over a new contract that led Ngannou to leave the UFC. Appearing on a Podcast recently, Dana White exposed a fighter for publicly lying about their negotiation. The fighter is none other than fan favorite Paulo Costa.

On the Bussin’ with The Boys Podcast, White said, “I just had a situation recently, and I’ll tell you who it was, it was Paulo Costa. He is an f****** lunatic. He acts like a lunatic. And he came out publicly and … kind of said what we offered him. It was the furthest f— thing from the truth. It wasn’t true. And this was a while ago, and this is the first time I’ve even talked about it.”

Fighter Pay debates have been prominent recently; even the likes of Jake Paul have come out to criticize Dana White. On the other hand, Dana White is unfazed by any such talks. UFC is very successful because of the business ideas and negotiation tactics that Dana White and his close associates employ. More fighters may come out asking for more, but it appears to be seen how much Dana White will budge on the issue.

Dana White is currently in the final stages of promoting the UFC 285 fight card, featuring the return of Jon Jones after a hiatus of three years. He will take on Ciryl Gane for the vacant Undisputed Heavyweight Championship.

Paulo Costa Responds to Dana White

UFC Middleweight Paulo Costa is sticking to his side of the story. Despite Dana White claiming that Costa publicly lied about the terms he was offered, Costa called the UFC management liars in a deleted tweet.

Costa is hilarious on social media and took his antics to the next level with another tweet calling Dana White delusional. Costa has not fought since his unanimous decision win over Luke Rockhold at UFC 278. He was scheduled to Robert Whittaker, but it fell out after the negotiation broke down.

It remains to be seen if Costa and the UFC agree to new terms anytime soon. Costa is an entertaining fighter who always puts on a show inside and outside the octagon. Everyone will be keeping a close eye on how this will turn out.
