Conor McGregor is the biggest superstar that Dana White ever worked with in the history of UFC. McGregor is an expert in selling his fights and, over the years, has made a lot of money for the promotion. Despite their incredible working relationship, White recently talked about the only problem he faced while working with the Irishman.

During a recent interview with Lex Friedman, Dana White was asked about the bad aspects of his relationship with McGregor. White couldn’t think of one. However, he revealed one minor aspect. This is what White said: 

Put a gun to my fucking head and said ‘Don't lie, mother***. Tell me all the bad things about Conor McGregor.' I would say the guy doesn't show up on time.

Dana White did not lie. Conor McGregor tends to arrive late to events. One example was when the superstar arrived almost half an hour late to the final pre-fight press conference at UFC 229 against Khabib Nurmagomedov. This was one of the many instances where McGregor did not care much about the consequences of arriving late. The Irishman also came late for the UFC 205 press conference in New York as well.

Despite McGregor’s frequent such problems, Dana White has always praised the fighter. However, one must note that it didn’t bother the UFC CEO all that much. Moreover, White stated he would only say it if one held a gun to the head. Irrespective of everything, White and UFC are currently working towards the much-anticipated comeback of McGregor to the promotion.

Conor McGregor has not competed in MMA for over two years now. Meanwhile, the fans have desperately waited to see his comeback. During a podcast episode with Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman, the UFC CEO detailed the delay. Cejudo asked about the miscommunication rumors to the UFC CEO.

White rejected the idea of any miscommunication. He revealed McGregor had a busy schedule with his commitments regarding the promotions of Road House. This is what White said: 

He has obligations right now to promote this movie. So, he's been flying all over the world, going to all the premieres. Once this is over, he can get back into full time training.

White also gave his perspective on how it can be hard for someone like McGregor to get back to grind. McGregor is a millionaire. Like White, many fans have raised several doubts about his passion for the sport. However, White has plans to help the fighter as much as possible because of their close partnership
