“Total Bullsh*t” – Dana White QUASHES rumours of Mark Zuckerberg renting the UFC Apex for Fight Night

The Fight Night card headlined by Mackenzie Dern and Yan Xiaonan isn’t exactly strong. However, that hasn’t stopped it from being surrounded by rumours about something bigger in the offing.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that the media and fans will not be allowed to witness the live event at the UFC Apex; without being given any reasons for it by the UFC. Rumours started to circulate about what exactly the reason for this could be, as the Covid regulations in Nevada aren’t exactly as strict as they were during the peaks of the epidemic.
One reason attributed to this anomaly (by the fans and experts) was that the fight card is the weakest we’ve seen in a long time, and to compensate for the lack of interest in it, the UFC just called it a private event.
Another rumour, albeit stringer this time, is that avid MMA fan Mark Zuckerberg has rented out the Apex for the night, and following suit, the promotion called off any media or fan attendance for it. This news was broken out by leading journalists Luke Thomas and Ariel Helwani.
Now, Dana White has come out and trashed any rumours surrounding the event related to Mark Zuckerberg. He tweeted, “Mark Zuckerberg did NOT rent out the UFC Apex. That’s total bullsh*t.”

“So who rented it out?” Fans sceptical about Dana White’s response to the rumours surrounding the Apex being rented out
Dana White, president of the UFC, is the final voice of authority when it comes to any official decision of the company. If he has said that the Fight Night will not be made a private spectacle for Mark Zuckerberg, then that must be the case.
However, fans are having a hard time believing White – the mysterious circumstances in which the action was taken spells something greater brewing within, than what Dana White had said earlier – him wanting the reporters to take a ‘’day off”.
Some of the tweets that call this out are, “It’s been reported everywhere already. Who do you think you are? The reports are more accurate over some guy on Twitter denying them.”, “So who rented it out?”, “Lmao don’t lie Dana. If you wanna clear it up, tell us wtf is going on. Why are going backwards? Covid is over breh.”, “Then why isn’t it open to the media and public, lol? Instead of just saying it’s not true, shut everyone up with the reason.“
The UFC Apex is a novel achievement of the UFC and Dana White – while other sports had come to a standstill because of Covid, the promotion kept hosting its events at the venue with little to no attendance. The tickets, given it is not an arena, are cheaper, considering the proximity to the octagon. Average tickets start at around $1600, with VIP seats costing around $3000, as per UFCVIP. It also has a capacity of 300.
Whether Dana White’s trashing of the reports is true or not can only be checked come Saturday night. However, if Mark Zuckerberg were to attend, it sure would make for big headlines.
