Kamaru Usman vs Leon Edwards 2 turned out to be one of the biggest fights of all time. Dana White, the UFC president couldn’t have asked for a better ending to the fight as a promoter. That fight exceeded everyone’s expectations and left everyone shocked. However, the “people’s champ” Chael Sonnen had a bone to pick with about the fight’s result.

Though the title fight between Edwards and Usman was action-packed. Fans and critics alike were surprised by the fence-grabbing that was done by both the fighters. A lot of the fence-grabbing went unwarned for both fighters and former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen believes Leon grabbed the fence too many times and it wasn’t checked which eventually led to the fighter becoming the champion of the welterweight division.

White believes it is not fair for Chael to discredit Leon’s heart and will in the fight and to bluntly claim that Leon’s “fence-grabbing” won him the championship. “He became champion with a head kick. He didn’t win by grabbing the fence,” said Dana talking to the media about Sonnen’s comments on UFC 278.

“He got absolutely dominated the whole fight except for the first two minutes of the first round. That’s completely unfair of Chael Sonnen to say that. That kid sucked it up, dug down deep, and landed literally the perfect headkick with like a minute left in the fight. I would say that it is silly, ridiculous, and absolutely unfair to say about Leon,” White said in his response to Chael’s comments.

The UFC president is already looking at a potential trilogy between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards which will be held in the United Kingdom which is the home of the new champ. Dana is confident that the trilogy will be a huge success and the company could sell any arena in the UK for that fight. How excited are you for the trilogy?
