Dana White talks about Brandon Moreno’s popularity! Moreno emerged victorious in his fight against Kai Kara-France at the co-main event of UFC 277. With Deiveson Figueiredo out from action because of a hand injury, the UFC decided to introduce an interim flyweight belt.

Moreno and France fought an incredible bout at UFC 277, and just as Kai started taking over, Moreno landed a big liver kick that dropped his opponent to the ground, and naturally enough, Moreno took care of business on the ground and got the belt wrapped around his waist.

Fans lost their minds over his performance, and even the pros acknowledged him as one of the best fighters to ever step inside the octagon. MMA’s biggest superstar, Conor McGregor specifically mentioned him while reacting to the event, he saw great potential in him, and he said, “That Mexican is a little animal of a thing, and so is the little New Zealander also.”

Dana White, too was impressed by his performance, and he truly believes Moreno is the next big thing, and his fans base is not just limited to Mexico, he said, “Not Mexican, he’s one of the biggest stars that we have. He’s one of the biggest stars on the roster. When we do signings with Brandon Moreno, he’s one of the most popular fighters in the company. He’s your typical durable, badass Mexican fighter.”

Dana added, “You see him come out with the headband like Julio Cesar Chavez the other day, and what does he do? He comes out with the Julio Cesar Chavez headband and then finishes the fight with a body shot. You ever think of that? That’s pretty f*cking awesome, to be honest with you.”
