Dana White has seen his fair share of finely tuned athletic physiques. However, there are certain physiques that are etched in his memory. One of the most athletic physiques that even the UFC CEO was taken aback by is Kayla Harrison’s physique.

Dana White recently appeared on the Lex Fridman Show. He talked about the conversion of athletes from other organizations into the UFC. White believed that it was a whole different experience overall. He then talked about Kayla Harrison’s shredded physique. This is what White said:

She was walking around in this sleeveless shirt on the night of the fight. She is jacked, man! It’s crazy.

Kayla Harrison is a 2-time Olympic gold medalist in Judo. She transitioned from Judo to MMA in 2016. Harrison soon rose in the lightweight ranks of the PFL and was ultimately crowned the champion. Harrison was also inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2023. She ultimately signed with the UFC this year and is set to make her debut in the most anticipated card of the year.

Donn Davis is disappointed at Kayla Harrison’s departure from the PFL

Kayla Harrison’s surprise move to the UFC left PFL co-founder Donn Davis frustrated. The PFL boss expressed disappointment over losing the promotion’s biggest female star. He talked on The MMA Hour recently to express his opinions on the matter. Davis revealed that the PFL had never lost a fighter in its first six years. Harrison became the first to depart despite the company’s rising stature.

Harrison was seemingly destined for a legacy bout versus Cris Cyborg after Bellator merged into PFL. But that blockbuster superfight may now never materialize with Harrison’s exit. Davis clarified that the PFL’s disappointment did not stem from business concerns. Rather, it was a personal desire to keep Harrison in-house. Davis felt they’d be fine moving forward without their former face.

The PFL has amassed an impressive roster of ranked fighters across weight classes. Davis acknowledged the difficulty in legitimately challenging Harrison’s decision to test free agency. He gave Harrison her flowers, describing her as the long-reigning face of the company. But now that face has transitioned to a new home and challenge.
