The hype surrounding UFC 295 and UFC 296 cards rose to the next level after UFC CEO Dana White‘s card announcement. The fans were eager to watch some of their favorite stars compete in the octagon. Jon Jones, Alex Pereira, and Colby Covington are just some of the names the UFC CEO mentioned in his latest announcement.

On UFC’s official Twitter page, a video featured White updating the UFC fans with their much-awaited cards. White announced the line-up for both UFC 295 and 296 cards in that video. Reportedly, UFC 295 will include Jon Jones’s first heavyweight title defense against Stipe Miocic. Further, Alex Pereira will go up against Jiri Prochazka for the vacant 205 title. White gave a shocking update on the 296 card as the clip proceeded. The card will include Leon Edwards defending his welterweight title against Colby Covington. Alexandre Pantoja vs. Brandon Royval will serve as the co-main of UFC 296. A fan even commented on this clip, “295 might be the card of the year.”

Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic was a fight in the making, but the curiosity surrounding its announcement left a lot of fans anxious. However, White has stepped in to relieve the fans from their problems. Further, an announcement for 296 was an unexpected gift from the UFC CEO. Many fans were eager to see Edwards defend his title, and now they can see him going up against Covington.
