“My relationship with Khabib”- Daniel Cormier reveals Tony Ferguson’s biggest problem with him
Daniel Cormier reveals Tony Ferguson's biggest problem with him
Tony Ferguson does not seem to like anyone from the UFC commentary panel one bit. The UFC lightweight has recently come after Daniel Cormier for multiple reasons but the former double champ reveals what actually is bothering “El Cucuy”.
Tony Ferguson is clearly not in a good place with his fighting career given he is coming off a four-fight win streak. His loss to Michael Chandler at UFC 274 did not make things better for the former interim champion. The lightweight superstar recently ignited a beef with the UFC color commentator, and analyst, Daniel Cormier.
Cormier on the recent episode of his show on ESPN MMA, DC&RC responded to Ferguson’s dispute and addressed it. “One of the biggest issues I have had with Tony Ferguson and it is literally my relationship with Khabib,” said DC on his ESPN MMA show. Tony and Khabib have a very complicated past as the two fighters never got to test each other in the octagon with the number of times their fights have been canceled.
DC reveals that Tony’s biggest issue with him is his relationship with the Dagestani. In the Check-in with DC show leading up to UFC 274, Tony can be seen threatening to leave the interview when Cormier questioned him about his past with Khabib.
“Bro worry about MC,” Daniel Cormier says Tony should be worried about his opponents
Ferguson is coming off a devastating knockout blow against Chandler at UFC 274. The former champ was knocked out with a brutal high kick which put him out cold giving Chandler the victory in the second round. Since his recovery from the knockout, Tony has been going on a press tour addressing his problem with the entire commentary team and especially Cormier.
“Bro what are you worried about me before?” asks Cormier in his show. “Michael Chandler kicked you in the face, bro. There are three names, DC, RC, and at times MC. Worry about MC. I’m retired. He has these issues with Khabib and because of these issues he comes at me which I don’t understand,” said Daniel.
According to Cormier, the 38-year-old lightweight needs to take some time off and clear his mind with the issues he has with the retired lightweight champ, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Do you agree with Cormier?
