Derrick Lewis was reportedly caught driving at 136 MPH in a 50 MPH zone in Houston. The incident happened days before his UFC Sao Paulo main event matchup against Jailton Almeida. The 38-year-old heavyweight talked about the news that he was stopped and searched on October 25 while operating a Lamborghini in his native Houston.
Later on, he was freed on a $100 personal recognizance bond, and his next court appearance was scheduled for December 27. When asked about the incident, the fighter said,
“Nah, I don’t even think that was me. That guy had hair. You seen the picture? I don’t got no hair. That ain’t me."Derrick Lewis on UFC Sao Paulo media day

This undeniable truth made it evident that he couldn’t possibly be the individual in question. Lewis, known for his iconic and comedic moments in the promotion’s history, lived up to expectations with his witty response.
