Dillon Danis is set to face YouTuber KSI inside the boxing ring in January. Fight fans are intrigued by this matchup since it will be KSI’s first matchup with a legitimate opponent, and because Dillon will be making his boxing debut.
Ahead of his fight Dillon Danis was seen training in a video posted by Misfits Boxing on Twitter. In the video, Dillon is heard sending a message to his opponent. Dillon said, “I’m coming (KSI). Easy work motherf***er!” He has already begun to get the psychological edge over his opponent before they meet in OVO Arena, Wembley on January 14.
Since his debut in 2018, Danis Dillon has competed just in 2 MMA fights in his career. Despite his minimal appearance in fights, he has managed to stay relevant in the MMA community. His biggest claim to fame is that he trained with Conor McGregor. He was also involved in the infamous brawl after Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor at UFC 229.
Peter Queally backs Dillon Danis to win against KSI
Former Bellator lightweight championship challenger and Danis’ training partner Peter Queally thinks Danis has a very good chance to win against KSI. He believes that Danis ‘ aggressive fighting style and size advantage will help him achieve a win against the Youtube turned Boxer.
Talking to Mirror Fighting Peter gave his prescriptive on the upcoming fight. He said, “KSI is pretty good but I think Dillon is a lot bigger than him, significantly bigger than him. KSI to me looks about my size, whereas Dillon is a big man…I think he’s going to have a big height advantage.”
Peter also believes Dillon has also gained a lot of experience from training with him and Conor McGregor over the years. He believes Dillon has been taken lightly only due to his behavior on social media.
The youtube cum rapper made his professional boxing debut back in 2019 against fellow YouTuber Logan Paul. KSI has selected Danis as a significantly more difficult opponent after fighting in a gimmick event where he had to face two opponents in a single night. Danis has never boxed before, but his MMA experience, which includes two submission victories in the first rounds, and his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu speak for themselves.
