Dillon Danis was once acclaimed for his Jiu-Jitsu credentials. He started his MMA career in Bellator but has not fought since 2019. Over the years, he became an internet troll and started garnering hate. Recently, his feud with Logan Paul made him likable for some fans. However, Danis recently tried to pick a fight with Kevin Holland, which did not work in his favor.

For no particular reason, Danis tweeted on X (formerly Twitter) about Kevin Holland being an easy fight. He tweeted, “If I go to the UFC give me an easy first fight I’ll take Kevin Holland.” The training partner of Conor McGregor invited trouble going after “The Trailblazer.” Holland did not pull back any punches when replying to Danis’s tweet. Holland reposted Danis’ post with the caption, “Get in line bucko. Maybe we can get you a rematch on #DWCS against this guy first ? Win that and Dana might just give you a contract to the big leagues!!”

Holland referenced the incident in which Danis was involved, resulting in a bouncer choking out the credentialed Jiu-Jitsu ace. It became a shameful incident for Danis as he got flack from the combat sports community. It was one among the series of misfortunes that befall Danis. More recently, his excessive trolling of Nina Agdal resulted in him getting sued for defamation. The lawsuit is rumored to cost Danis over six figures.

Danis is set to face Agdal’s fiancee, Logan Paul, in a boxing bout on the Prime card. On the other hand, Holland recently competed at Noche UFC against Jack Della Maddalena. He lost the fight via split decision. The loss snapped his two-fight win streak.

In a recent studio visit to the MMA Hour of Ariel Helwani, Danis provided a comprehensive and insightful discussion on his upcoming bout with Logan Paul. The conversation delved into the feud, particularly the legal dispute with Paul’s fiancee, Nina Agdal. Agdal filed a defamation suit against Danis.

Danis also shed light on the dynamics of his training regimen. He emphasized his collaboration with former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira. Thus showcasing a diverse approach to his preparation. The issue of drug testing in combat sports was also addressed as he stressed the significance of clean competition. He pointed fingers at the Paul brothers for the use of PEDs.

Dillon Danis has a history of pulling out of fights. So, for this reason, Mike Perry became the backup for the event. Moreover, Perry is now a big name in Bare Knuckle Boxing. He faced off against Logan Paul at the press conference. Interestingly, a clause fines Danis if he withdraws from the fight.
