‘Got my hair done,’ Donald Cerrone jokes on impossible return from retirement after admitting to steroid use

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone had a decorated career. Throughout his MMA career, he had 36 wins. Cerrone fought a total of 55 fights in his MMA career. He was known for his record of most wins in the UFC and most post-fight bonuses, which he still maintains today. At UFC on ESPN 43, the announcement came of his induction into the UFC Hall of Fame.
Following the announcement, Cerrone attended the media scrum following the fight event to talk to the media about it. He said, “I got my hair done. So, hair is growing in and got on steroids, so I couldn’t come back even if I wanted to right now.” Cerrone was joking about the steroid part. The Cowboy lifestyle abstains from steroids.
Donald Cerrone will join other great fighters, Anderson Silva and Jose Aldo, in the 2023 UFC Hall of Fame induction. He fought for the UFC title once and twice for the WEC title. Unfortunately, he did not win the World Championships in UFC or WEC.

Cerrone holds wins over former Lightweight Champions such as Charles Oliveira, Benson Henderson and Eddie Alvarez. In his UFC tenure, he also fought against notable fighters such as Conor McGregor, Anthony Pettis, and Jorge Masvidal.

Cowboy had one of the most decorated careers in the UFC. He is top 3 among most appearances as a fighter and has the most wins in the UFC. However, he holds one record in the UFC and remains undisputed No.1 in that statistics.

Cerrone has the most knockdowns secured in the entire UFC. He has 20 knockdowns throughout his UFC career. Anderson Silva is next on the list with 18. The only active fighters on the list are Dustin Poirier, and Conor McGregor tied for 10th place with 13 knockdowns.
Cerrone’s record looks unbreakable at the moment. It will take a lot of activity from McGregor and Poirier to break that record. Cerrone was inducted into the Hall of Fame at UFC On ESPN 43 for his illustrious career.
