Donald Cerrone and Joe Lauzon both weighed in, shook hands, and went to sleep last month, ready to compete at UFC 274. Then Cerrone became unwell and had to withdraw from the competition. It was momentarily up in the air whether the two would be rebooked, but here we are a little more than one month later. Fortunately, the quality match-up remains, and the stakes are still high for this pair of ageing mixed martial arts (MMA) icons.

Cerrone, enters the octagon carrying a 0-5-1 skid. Last time around, the 39-year-old veteran was knocked out in the first round by Alex Morono in May 2021, following a no contest against Niko Price in September 2020. His most recent victory was a unanimous decision over Al Iaquinta in May of this year .Two of his last three fights went the distance, but he has lost four of his previous six by KO/TKO stoppage.

 Donald Cerrone already has plans for the bonus money he could earn, He said in an interview with ESPN MMA that he wishes to submit Joe Lauzon in his bout in order to get a bonus. He stated, “I’m ready, he’ll be ready and we get a nice rear neck choke, 50 more grand plus fight of the night 50 grand more so 100 grand 2 more bonuses why not, it’ll go like a fart in the wind”

When it comes to holding himself accountable, Donald Cerrone only knows how to keep it genuine. That’s why the UFC veteran, who has fought in 37 fights, had to leave his beloved BMF Ranch behind and relocate his training camp to the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas.Cerrone uses medicine balls, kettlebells, and dumbbells in his workouts. Vigeant claims he’s a beast on the Airdyne cycle for conditioning, working his way up to 130 RPMs with lightning-quick recovery time.
