Donald Trump receives custom suit with infamous MUGSHOT from UFC contender Colby Covington at Mar-A-Lago

Colby Covington is an avid follower of America’s former President, Donald Trump. The two have shared their support for each other on numerous occasions. As such, before his fight with Leon Edwards, ‘Chaos’ met Trump at the Mar-a-Lago club and shared a prosperous time. Later, Covington surprised Trump with a special gift. It was a suit with Trump’s famous mugshot on it.

Colby Covington is Donald Trump’s favorite fighter. As such, this gift from him delighted the former president. The gift was a white blazer with Trump’s mugshot on the back and the motto ‘Make America Great Again’ written on the sleeves. ‘Chaos’ got the suit signed by Trump. He may wear it to the UFC 296 press conference or one of the pre-fight events.

Donald Trump reigned as America’s president from 2017 to 2021. Now, he’s running for the elections in 2024. Being a man of high stature, he was a fan of MMA. As such, he had made quite a few appearances at UFC events in the past. Recently, he made his presence at UFC 287 and UFC 295, which caught the eyes of many. Also, he promised to be present at UFC 296 to support his longtime advocate, Colby Covington.

Colby Covington faces Leon Edwards for the welterweight title on December 16. This fight headlines the stacked UFC 296 fight card happening at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. ‘Chaos’ won his last fight against Jorge Masvidal in UFC 272, while Edwards made his mark as a champion by defeating Kamaru Usman twice.

The friendship between Colby Covington and Donald Trump

Colby Covington won his fight with Tyron Woodley by a fifth-round knockout in 2020. Soon after, he received a phone call from then-US President Donald Trump when he was on an interview with ESPN. He was shocked and excited like a kid. His idol rained down praises for him, and ‘Chaos’ was proud of himself.

During the phone call, Donald Trump revealed that he was a big fan of ‘Chaos’ as much as he was a fan of him. Also, Colby Covington promised to bring the belt to him. Earlier, ‘Chaos’ met Trump at the White House when he won the interim title over Rafael dos Anjos in 2018. This was the first instance of an MMA fighter meeting a sitting President.

Fast forward a few years, Colby Covington and Donald Trump share a close relationship and never let each other down. Now, ‘Chaos’ faces Leon Edwards for the undisputed welterweight title in UFC 296. As such, they recently met at the Mar-A-Lago, and Donald Trump promised Covington that he would attend the event to watch his fight.
