The upcoming UFC 292 event is generating an immense amount of excitement as Sean O’Malley and Aljamain Sterling are set to collide in what promises to be an exhilarating showdown. Anticipation for this clash has reached a fever pitch, with fans and enthusiasts eagerly awaiting two fighters with opposite fighting styles to start the battle.

The buildup and anticipation surrounding this matchup elevated the overall buzz when both fighters got into a fierce verbal altercation during the press conference.

It appears that the fighter is strategically aiming to secure the coveted number one position in the Sportscenter highlight reel by delivering a spectacular knockout performance against Aljamain Sterling within the confines of the octagon this upcoming weekend.

Cory Sandhagen is not happy about Sean O’Malley becoming the next champion and targeting easy opponents

If Sean O’Malley manages to get his hands on the UFC bantamweight title, he plans to defend it against Marlon Vera, who previously defeated him in 2020. However, fellow title contender Cory Sandhagen questions this choice, as Vera needs to defeat Munhoz first before facing other contenders. In an interview with the press, Sandhagen said:

“That’s some weak sauce, man. You want to fight the guy that other people are beating? That kind of bothers me about the way O’Malley thinks a little bit. It’s not even just O’Malley. It’s the way that sometimes the sport is set up where it’s like take the easiest fight for the least amount of money.”

According to Sandhagen, it’s indicative of a broader issue within the sport, where the inclination sometimes appears to be to opt for the path of least resistance in exchange for reduced compensation.
