Dustin Poirier gives donated equipment to unfortunate kids
Dustin Poirier is one of the biggest stars in the UFC and in the last few years become a fan favorite. Poirier is an amazing fighter and has proved it from time to time. However, he has not been that lucky with his title shots and has lost two opportunities to get his hands on the lightweight championships. Even after those upsets, Poirier is still considered to be one of the best in the lightweight division.
The Louisiana native has been part of some of the biggest pay-per-view events against fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor, and Charles Oliveira. All these fights helped the fighter to earn millions of dollars along with several sponsorships. Poirier has a huge heart and frequently does charity work with all that money. The fighter has been vocal about his intentions to help the needy ones to get a better life.
“I am a fighter. It’s what I do. Now I want to fight the good fight for those who can’t…I have created a platform for fellow athletes and fans to join together, fight for underserved communities and answer the call of those in need,” Poirier’s message through his foundation, The Good Fight Foundation.
The fighter also has asked his opponents to help him spread happiness. One such instance happened with Nurmagomedov when the Dagestani said in the post-fight interview that he was giving his shirt to Poirier and it will get auctioned. All the money from it will directly go to his foundation. Similarly, after his fight with Oliviera, Poirier donated $20,000 to the Brazilian for his project to help the people in need.

Poirier recently took to Twitter in order to talk about his new effort to help the people who are in need.
In the tweet, the fighter mentioned that currently they are packing thousands of school bags with many things inside them. According to Poirier, with the help of his foundation, he’s going to donate the bags to the children who need them. He wrote :
“We packing!! @TheGoodFightFDN back-to-school backpack drive is underway!! “
It is not the first time Poirier is helping his community, he’s been indulging in charity work for a long time now. People on Twitter appreciated Poirier’s work. A fan said that Poirier has a heart of the diamond.
Another fan wrote how people like Dustin and Charles are looking to help people out even when they are at the top.
