Since his last loss against the Lightweight champion Charles Oliveira at UFC 269, Dustin Poirier is trying to make a comeback into the octagon. The former interim champion failed to register his victory against the Brazilian and once again could not capture the title.

Charles Oliveira defeated Dustin Poirier in the 3 round by a standing rear-naked choke and won the fight via submission. It has been 5 months since the fight and it seems that Dustin is once again ready for action. Earlier Dustin expressed that he would like to move up to the welterweight division and fight Nate Diaz however no fight was confirmed by the UFC.

It was rumored that Dustin Poirier might fight Conor McGregor for a potential fourth fight however the rumor was denied by Justin himself. Justin Poirier once again through his tweet, teased his fans that he might be returning soon. Replying to a tweet, Dustin in his recent tweet said: “Gonna fight in July.” The fighter indicated that he probably going to fight in July however no official statement has been issued by the UFC.
