Footage of Nate Diaz’s preparation for his highly anticipated boxing debut against Jake Paul was recently released. Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn reviewed it and was disappointed. Hearn believes that Jake Paul will effortlessly conquer this upcoming fight, bouncing back from his previous loss against Tommy Fury. He predicted that the fight could potentially wind up in four rounds or less.
Eddie Hearn revealed his initial reaction to Diaz’s pad work during an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. The fight promoter expressed his astonishment, his mouth gaping wide open as he processed Diaz’s performance. As a result, Hearn has formed a firm opinion that the upcoming Diaz-Paul bout will be a glaring mismatch. He believes that Diaz is destined to be overpowered and defeated by Jake Paul. Therefore, he is certain about Paul’s victory.
Hearn is so certain about Jake Paul’s victory that he even proposed a bet on the outcome of the fight to Helwani. Eddie Hearn offered him 3-1 odds in favor of Diaz. Hearn is an expert in assessing boxing ability, having been involved in the sport for the longest time. As of now, the odds look significantly in favor of Paul in the ring. Helwani might lose the bet this time.
The boxing promoter drew a distinction between Jake vs Diaz and other elite boxers like Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua facing MMA fighters. Hearn emphasized that he truly believes Nate Diaz would not walk out of that ring victorious. He reiterated that the fight would not last beyond four rounds. That is, unless Diaz’s current performance was merely a bluff, leaving room for speculation.

Recognized as one of MMA‘s most proficient boxers, Nate Diaz is training with former world champion Andre Ward. However, Diaz’s boxing skills have received quite a bit of criticism from fans and boxers alike.
Olympic silver medalist boxer Esquiva Falcao even critiqued Diaz’s boxing performance. Following a sparring session between Diaz and Falcao in Los Angeles, Falcao expressed his disappointment, deeming Diaz’s boxing ability subpar. He highlighted that Diaz’s apparent weight issue was a problem. The undefeated boxer suggested a visible decline in his physical condition.
As fight enthusiasts eagerly await the Diaz-Paul showdown, Eddie Hearn’s surprising reaction to Nate Diaz’s training video has dimmed the minds of Nate Diaz fans. Hearn’s firm prediction of a dominant victory for Jake Paul has added an extra layer of anticipation to the upcoming bout. Only time will reveal who wins the fight.
