Endeavor shares plummet after video of UFC boss Dana White slapping wife in nightclub goes viral

Dana White’s behavior on New Year’s might turn out to be costly for shareholders of Endeavor Group Holdings. The UFC parent company sees a fall in shares after the promoter went viral for slapping his wife in a nightclub.

2023 did not kick off the way UFC boss Dana White would’ve expected. The head honcho who has tried to always maintain a great image in public has found himself in hot waters as he gets into an ugly altercation with his wife in a nightclub. The incident was taped on camera and has now gone viral. The viral video has had a domino effect on the stock market for Endeavor Group Holdings.

UFC’s parent organization sees a plummet in stocks as they closed down nearly 6% according to CNBC. UFC has been the most profitable for Endeavor owners. Fight promotion makes up nearly 20% of the American company. White, himself, is all about business and would knock himself for the damage he’s caused.

The last few years since the pandemic have been the most successful runs for the fight company and its owners. Ultimate Fighting Championship is continuing to prove its worth in the last few years by breaking records in terms of revenue.

Dana White’s full apology for slapping wife in public

Shortly after the video of White slapping his wife became viral, the UFC boss immediately apologized for his wrong-doings. In an interview with TMZ Sports, the fight promoter admitted that he was in the wrong and was embarrassed. White and his wife were spending New Year’s in Cabo, Mexico. “We have three kids and since the video popped up, we have shown the kids and we are more focused on our family right now,” said White talking to TMZ.

White also said that he deserves the criticisms he’s been getting from the people. “People are going to have their opinions on this and people’s opinions would be right, especially in my case. You don’t put your hands on a woman, ever,” said White. The UFC boss has been an advocate for not harming women for the longest time.

“I’m literally making no excuses for this thing at all. It’s never happened before. It’s the first it’s ever happened. People are going to say what they’re going to say and it is what is. Whatever people say is deserved. I deserve it,” added the UFC President.
