“Social media gets worse and worse” – Ex-UFC star criticizes TikTok user making content of dead daughter

In recent years, TikTok has rapidly risen in popularity to rank among the most widely used social media platforms worldwide. Millions of users from all different age groups have been attracted by its addictive nature and unique content. TikTok has transformed how people interact with social media thanks to its short-form videos, catchy challenges, and diversified user base. However, there is always a dark side to everything and UFC fighter Darren Till has called the same in his most recent tweet.
A guy making content about his dead daughter has gone viral on the internet and this didn’t go well for the former UFC middleweight fighter. The particular video creator has always been targeting sensitive topics to showcase his emotional acting skills. But, Darren Till didn’t find it suitable and wrote, “I don’t even know what to say anymore, social media each year just gets worse and worse.” on his official Twitter handle.
Many other Twitter users had similar thoughts regarding his videos and questioned the boundaries creators should consider while making videos. Many believed that exploiting personal tragedies for entertainment or engagement is disrespectful and inconsiderate. However, the creator states that the purpose behind making videos of his kids and wife is to create awareness among people.
