Two of the most popular UFC fighters, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira, have showcased their toughness and high-level skill set. Although a fight between them has never occurred, fans fantasize about how it would pan out. Oliveira mastered the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; meanwhile, Nurmagomedov had the most dominant freestyle wrestling in combat sports. UFC veteran Michael Bisping gave his thoughts on the matter.

Following the Brazilian fighter’s popularity, Bisping had thoughts on the matter. He mentioned Charles Oliviera’s future fights to be too vast compared to Khabib Nurmagomedov. “If Khabib didn’t retire? Who knows? But the reality is, another big win for Charles puts him a clear level above,” said Michael Bisping.

Once these quotes resurfaced, Michael Bisping took to Twitter to immediately shut them down. The British fighter came to his defense by mentioning the quotes about Charles Oliveira to be said over a year ago. ‘The Count’ wrote, “Brining up quotes from over a year ago? Nice work. Get a life bro.” Bisping took no time to justify his year-old quotes and had seemingly walked it back.

Michael Bisping will remain the greatest MMA fighter from Britain unless Leon Edwards continues his dominance as the champion. The fighter has racked up wins over Dan Henderson, Luke Rockhold, and Anderson Silva. Following his retirement, the fighter has given his expertise to the sport. Khabib Nurmagomedov remains one of the biggest stars despite his retirement from combat sports. ‘The Eagle’ retired in 2020 following a dominant victory of Justin Gaethje. Since his retirement, the Russian fighter began coaching young MMA fighters. On his social media, fans often witnessed him alongside his trainees, providing his expertise. The retired fighter had also coached popular fighters like Belal Muhammad and Islam Makachev and cornered their fights.

Michael Bisping had thoughts on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s step-down from MMA. Bisping said, “As a coach, he’s unbelievable. There’s a reason why Khabib, his team, his prodigies, students, they’re all doing so well. Khabib stepping away from the sport, it’s kind of a sad day. He’s certainly the greatest lightweight of all time. He retired at his absolute prime. He’s been there, he’s done it all. If he wants to walk away, of course, that’s his choice. It’s a little bit sad.”
