UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones will officially make his first heavyweight title defense at Madison Square Garden. Dana White recently announced that Jones will face the former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 295. While fight fans are ecstatic hearing the announcement, some believe Dana White is trying to overshadow Francis Ngannou yet again.

After becoming the heavyweight champion at UFC 285, fans expected Jones to defend his title very soon. With radio silence from Jon, Dana White had no clue when his next fight would occur. In the months following UFC 285, Jon Jones was rumored to fight Tyson Fury. However, after all the rumors and switching through potential opponents, Jones has landed on fighting Stipe Miocic.

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury’s search for an opponent might have come to a halt. The heavyweight champion is finalizing a fight deal with Francis Ngannou. The search for the Gypsy King’s next fight will finally take place against the former UFC champion. While the news is yet to be made public, sources suggest the deal is very close to being finalized.

With Francis having a potential fight announcement, fans believe Dana White tried to overshadow the PFL fighter yet again with the UFC title fight announcement. Ever since leaving UFC, Ngannou has been targeted by Dana White multiple times. Many suggest Dana White made the Jon Jones fight announcement to get ahead of Ngannou and possibly reduce the hype for his fight.

Dana White recently announced that UFC heavyweight champion will make his title defense against Stipe Miocic. The fight will take place at UFC 295 on 11th November at Madison Square Garden, New York. Many fans want to see Jon Jones go against the heavyweight GOAT Stipe Miocic. After Francis Ngannou left UFC to sign with PFL, White has continuously tried to downplay Ngannou. The UFC head honcho claimed he ran from the Jones fight and also called him out for making ridiculous demands. White was also ready to make a fight between Jon Jones and Tyson Fury. All the previous events have led fans to believe that Dana White constantly tries to mess with Ngannou.

While the news of Jones vs. Miocic is confirmed, Ngannou vs. Fury is yet to be made public. However, Fury has hinted that Francis will make 10 to 20 times what he made in UFC.
