“Thug” Rose Namajunas and Manon Fiorot fought in the co-main event of UFC Paris event. Namajunas made her flyweight debut in the UFC. She faced a tough opponent for her flyweight debut against Fiorot. Fiorot dominated her competition at flyweight heading into her bout against Rose. Fiorot defeated Rose Namajunas via a unanimous decision on the scorecard. The future looks bright for the French fighter.

As the fight started, Fiorot looked like the bigger fighter. Rose bulked up to get in shape to compete in the 125-pound division. The two women exchanged strikes for the better part of the first round. Fiorot had the advantage in the earlier minutes, but Rose started to land as time passed. Thug Rose attempted a takedown at the end of the first round but could not finish it.

The second round started with more pressure from Fiorot. She attempted a takedown but failed to take Rose down. It looked like Fiorot landed the better shots while Rose attempted to close the distance. Their heads clashed in the second round, and Fiorot started bleeding from the side of her head. It was a hard fight to judge, and may have looked like Fiorot got the better of Rose.

In the first two rounds, Namajunas could not find the right combinations to hurt Fiorot. Rose shot for a takedown, but Fiorot kept defending it. The footwork of Fiorot kept Rose guessing in the third round. The two fighters completed the fifteen-minute mark, and the result came from the judges’ scorecard. They scored it for Manon Fiorot after witnessing a grueling three rounds.
