Jamahal ‘Sweet Dreams’ Hill was clearly the better fighter but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to be tested by the veteran. Glover Teixeira at 43 years of age did not give up one moment. If he couldn’t cut Hill open with his shots, Teixeira made sure he tasted his blood during grappling exchanges.

Everyone who watched the fight was surprised by how good Jamahal Hill was on the mat. Teixeira, who was supposed to be a threat on the ground was neutralized by Hill’s defense. Hill laid some brutal shots which left some deep cuts on Teixeira’s face.

During one of the round breaks, Jamahal Hill was caught getting watered down by his coaches. A fan was quick to record the video of Hill’s coach draining the blood from Hill’s hair. It was quite graphic to look at, at first glance.

Glover Teixeira despite taking many hard punches to his face, managed to return the favor. Jamahal Hill ended up swelling his face below his eyes. This did not stop the fighter from Chicago from fulfilling his dream of becoming the champion.

Jamahal “Sweet Dreams” Hill did the best out of the cards he was dealt with. For his first title defense, he will have a full training camp and will most likely be facing the recently-vacated, Jiri Prochazka. There is no doubt the two matching up will make for an exciting bout.
