English fighter and former featherweight champion (Full Contact Contender) Paddy Pimblett faces Tony Ferguson at UFC 296. The lightweight bout takes place on Dec. 16 at the T-Mobile Arena. Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett recently mocked Ferguson’s Hell Week training with David Goggins ahead of the matchup. Now another training video of the latter has surfaced.
At 26-9-0, Ferguson looks forward to rectifying a six-fight loss streak against Pimblett. He last suffered submission losses to Bobby Green (UFC 291) and Nate Diaz (UFC 279) respectively. The lightweight veteran had a long streak of victories before that. His latest video practicing Wing Chun has garnered much fan sentiment. One reaction read, “If “bet the house on Tony” was a video.”
Pimblett on the other hand has not fought for over a year. He last fought and won against Jared Gordon in his first PPV co-main event slot, at UFC 282. Recently, the fighter out of Liverpool has divulged to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi (and on his YouTube channel) on considering Ferguson as ‘a lose-lose’ prospect given his losing streak.
‘El Cucuy,’ along with Anderson Silva and Sean Strickland, is one the few fighters who incorporates Wing Chun into his training. Fans of the sport have thus correspondingly commended the course of the training.
