The UFC Light Heavyweight division has finally found a new champion after being without a title holder since November of last year. Jamahal Hill has been crowned as the new light heavyweight champion in the main event of UFC 283. However, it seems the champion has already found his next challenger. 

Jamahal Hill dominated Glover Teixeira throughout five rounds of their showdown in the main event of UFC 283. After the match, the Brazilian veteran even announced his retirement. Now the former Light Heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka has already claimed his shot at the gold. The Czech fighter has sent a spine-chilling message to the champion that he is coming for the championship after congratulating him on the win.

Jiri Prochazka relinquished his championship after failing to defend it due to a shoulder injury. He won the title after dethroning Glover Teixeira at UFC 275 and lost it without a single title defense. However, the former champion has completely recovered from his shoulder injury and has already set his eyes on the gold.

Jiri Prochazka has been undefeated in UFC in fact he is undefeated in his last 13 fights since 2016.  So it’s interesting to see if Jamahal Hill can retain his title against the Czech fighter. On top of that, even Magomed Ankalaev will be looking for his shot at the championship after being robbed at UFC 282.
