Power Slap 5 was an event to remember, as fans eagerly awaited the bout featuring Austin Turpin. Turpin left a mark despite not clinching a victory. He took on the formidable Ron Bata a.k.a Wolverine. He couldn’t land clean hits in the beginning and absorbed significant damage. By the end, Wolverine retained his title, but Turpin had won hearts.

Turpin’s injuries were evident after the battle. The right side of his face was swollen. Subsequently, he took to Instagram to share a photo of his battered face. Consequently, fans flooded his post with comments that showered respect. However, a section of fans were very sad to see the face of Turpin who is not making enough money in Slap Fighting.

He has a Power Slap record of 4-0 with 3 finishes before the fight. UFC middleweight champion, Sean Strickland was at the event, and his reaction to the battles was circulated on social media.

Dana White’s brainchild is not without haters. Some fighters support the league whereas many oppose it. Anthony Smith, the former light heavyweight title challenger is a vocal supporter of the league. However, Nate Diaz known for his Stockton Slap inside the octagon is blatantly against it. He even went further to criticize Smith for supporting it.
