Trae Young led the Atlanta Hawks to rout Kevin Durant‘s Phoenix Suns in their recent meeting at the State Farm Arena. In attendance were none other than UFC superstars Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya. As UFC superstars, both Volkanovski and Adesanya transcended the sport. Volkanovski is close friends with NBA star Jamal Murray and NFL legend Tom Brady. Volkanovski recently played catch with Brady at an event in a crossover that had fans in splits.

Alexander Volkanovski shared pictures of the duo on his official Instagram. The duo got admiration from fans as they nicknamed the two Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant. Bryant and O’Neal were the most destructive NBA duos in the early 21st century. In the pictures shared by Volkanovsi, both UFC fighters wore the number 1 jersey of the Atlanta Haws. At present, Jalen Johnson wears number 1 for the Hawks, and star player Trae Young wears 11.

Volkanovski is in the US as he and Ilia Topuria headline UFC 298 in Anaheim, California, later this month. Rumors circulate of Adesanya as the UFC 300 headliner. However, the UFC has not yet announced the main event for UFC 300. Fans predict a matchup with either Alex Pereira or Dricus Du Plessis for Adesanya at UFC 300.

Both Adesanya and Volkanovski have lost their latest fights. Adesanya succumbed to Sean Strickland at UFC 293 and lost his middleweight title, which Strickland lost to Du Plessis at UFC 297. Volkanovski replaced Charles Oliveira on short notice and suffered a knockout loss to Islam Makhachev at UFC 294.
