To say Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira have history would be a massive understatement. The two fighters have been rivals ever since they faced off in Glory of Heroes. While the fought each other in kickboxing bouts back then, this time around Adesanya and Pereira will compete under MMA rules at UFC 281.

Throughout the build-up to this fight, ‘Poatan’ has been trolling the UFC middleweight champion. He recently posted a picture of him posing with Elsa, in response to Adesanya’s infamous “Elsa” line from UFC 276. With all these shenanigans, fans have been treated to seeing a side of Pereira’s that wasn’t explored before.

However, another aspect a lot of fans had not seen was the number one contender’s intense demeanor. Now, fans have unearthed footage of Alex Pereira staring intensely at Adesanya during the press conference. In the video, it is apparent that Israel started staring at Pereira first. In response, the Brazilian stared coldly at Adesanya, who after a moment looked away.

However, the Brazilian continued to stare in Adesanya’s direction in an unnerving manner. Even when a journalist asked Pereira for his final comment on his fight against the champion, he never averted his gaze from ‘The Last Stylebender.’ During the whole sequence, Pereira maintained a poker face and it was truly a frightening sight to witness.
