In an unexpected turn of events, welterweight fighter Khamzat Chimaev was training with recently retired soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The unlikely duo training MMA was not on the bingo card for fans of the UFC fighter. On Twitter, fans reacted to the duo and are happy to see two legends of different sports conforming.
On various occasions, both these stars interacted with each other. Prior to Khamzat Chimaev’s fight against Gilbert Burns, Zlatan posted a cheerful Instagram story dedicated to the Swedish fighter. And ‘Borz’ touched on the encouragement post. The fighter also had nice words to utter about the soccer legend. As fans were longing for a link-up between both Swedish athletes, it came to fruition.
Recently, both the Swedish powerhouses were photographed together and fans could not have enough. It was reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic visited the welterweight fighter’s gym amidst training. Following that, both athletes were cordial toward each other. This interaction between Khamzat Chimaev and the Soccer legend immediately landed in the headlines.
