The UFC 292 is set to take place this weekend. Ian Machado Garry is ready as ever to keep his 12th-fight undefeated streak going. He came into the welterweight rankings as number 13, after beating Daniel Rodriguez. Opposing him will be Neil Magny, the number 11th-ranked welterweight. Magny is known as the ‘Gatekeeper’ for welterweights who want to climb up to the top ten rankings. He also holds the record for the most wins in the welterweight division.
Recently, for trash-talking purposes, Neil Magny went ahead and declared that he would beat Garry, just like how he ‘whoops’ his son. These comments highlighting child abuse have not been met well by fans and the general public. A fan wrote, “Magny’s comments here are revolting. ‘I’ll beat you worse than I beat my child’ is the weakest flex I’ve ever heard.”
Garry prior to this matchup has also shown great promise as a welterweight. His striking and fight IQ have proved to be lethal for his opponents. Magny on the other hand has a lot of fight experience within the octagon. He has gone toe to toe with fighters like Gilbert Burns and he also beat UFC legends Robbie Lawler and Kelvin Gastelum. Holding onto his undefeated status is going to be tough for Garry.
The main event for UFC 292 is Aljamain Sterling vs Sean O’Malley, but the welterweight bout will also attract a lot of attention. Garry getting a win over Magny will surely solidify his reputation in the division.

Comments on ‘child abuse’ by Neil Magny have horrified fans
Amidst vocal altercations, Neil Magny had openly declared that Garry would be beaten like how he beats his son. This clearly took trash-talking a little too far. The two fighters have been going at each other on the internet. This comment for obvious reasons has the fans angry too. Here are some of the fans reacting to Magny’s bizarre comment:
Garry is 13th in the welterweight rankings with an undefeated record. Magny is going to be the toughest opponent he has faced in the UFC. Magny ranks 11th in the division. He also holds the record for the most wins at welterweight. This is not going to be an easy fight for both.
