The MMA star Francis Ngannou fought the undefeated boxer Tyson Fury in a crossover match. It was a massive success with many global stars attending the event. However, UFC CEO Dana White called it a ‘Gimmick fight’ earlier. Now, he was heavily criticized for his past comments about Francis Ngannou and his fight with Fury.

Dana White earlier had said that Francis Ngannou had got in his head that he had better opportunities outside of the UFC with lesser opponents. Now, a fan said that quote from White had aged poorly as Ngannou knocked down Fury, the best heavyweight boxer in the world. Helwani recently posted an old tweet of him talking about Dana White’s comments and said that it had aged well. In the video, he went after White for calling Francis Ngannou’s fight a Gimmick fight and opposed it with a point about the BMF title and how it was also ‘Gimmick’ to gain attention. He also added points about slapfighting, which White is actively promoting.

The world knew about Dana White’s feud with Ngannou right from when he didn’t wrap the belt around the champion on his title defense. It became so huge that the UFC and Ngannou parted ways after failing to negotiate a convincible contract. Fans bashed the boss for this decision.
