UFC strawweight champion Zhang Weili once again shocked the world by breaking a women’s UFC strike differential record against Amanda Lemos.

The co-main event of UFC 292 featured the return of Zhang Weili. She regained her title last year after defeating Carla Esparza. Weili fought Brazilian fighter Amanda Lemos to defend her strawweight title. She won the fight via a dominant decision on the scorecard. Zhang Weili also broke the record for the largest strike differential in a women’s UFC bout.

Amanda Lemos became the title challenger after destroying Michelle Waterson and Marina Rodriguez in 2022. She has insane knockout power and good BJJ skills that made the UFC give her the title shot over other contenders in the strawweight division. Weili looked unbeatable after her last fight. Hence, it made the title bout at UFC 292 an exciting fight for the fans.

As soon as the fight started, Weili started her offense with takedowns and ground and pound. She survived a D’arce choke attempt from Lemos in the first round. However, Weili continued dominating the second round with heavy wrestling pressure. Even in the third round, Lemos could not stop Zhang’s wrestling. Check out the strike differentials below:

Lemos started fighting back in the fourth round with powerful right-hand punches. Weili did fight back, but it was the better round for Lemos. Lemos needed a finish heading into the last round. However, Zhang dropped her with a clean strike and dominated the round. Fight fans will forever remember the toughness of Amanda Lemos.
