Paige VanZant has had a successful career transition as she turned from an MMA fighter to an OF model. In a recent interview with MMAFightingonSBN, she revealed how much she got paid in her days in the UFC. Here is what happened.
In the interview, VanZant reflected on the amount of money she was making now versus her payments during her UFC career. Speaking to Damon Martin, Paige VanZant said:
You know growing up you look at the contracts like you know transparently. When I signed with the UFC I think I made eight and eight my first fight. So eight thousand to show up and eight thousand to win. And that was I think the standard contract back in the day. And for me, that was a ton of money.Paige VanZant to MMA Fighting
VanZant made her professional MMA debut in June 2012, at the UWF’s Tournament of Warriors finale. She won by split decision against Jordan Nicole Gaza. Paige VanZant joined the UFC at the age of 20 and made her UFC Strawweight debut in November 2014. In 2013, she was scheduled to appear on The Ultimate Fighter television series but was removed before the show began due to age restrictions.
Paige VanZant claims to have made over $564,000 in 24 hours from her OnlyFans subscriptions. VanZant charges $9.99 per month for subscriptions to her OnlyFans content. She claims to have made more money in one day on OnlyFans than she did in her entire fighting career.
Paige VanZant’s potential return to fighting in 2024
Paige VanZant said she will definitely fight in BKFC again and is interested in working with PFL for a potential MMA return. VanZant is known for fighting in the UFC from 2014 to 2020. However, she has not competed in MMA since 2020. She transitioned to bare-knuckle boxing with BKFC in August 2020 but has not been in action since July 2021, when she lost a unanimous decision to Rachael Ostovich.
VanZant was originally scheduled to return in August 2022, but her BKFC bout was canceled. VanZant was scheduled to fight Charisa Sigala at BKFC 27. But the fight was canceled a week before the event. The promotion did not give a reason for the cancellation. VanZant said she was frustrated because she had worked hard for the fight. She is currently focusing on BKFC, but if she were to return to the cage, she would be interested in working with PFL.
Paige VanZant has also ventured into professional wrestling. She began appearing on AEW (All Elite Wrestling) and expressed her interest in pro wrestling a year ago when she visited WWE, although plans did not materialize at that time.
