Some seconds into the video, Farr taps out continuously, but Hooker did not let go. Farr eventually lost consciousness, and Hooker let go. Hooker updated his condition on Instagram, uploading a picture of himself in hospital scrubs with his arm in a sling. In the post, he confirmed that the operation was successful and underlined his customary tenacity. However, he stated it was a scratch and could return for the historic UFC 300 card.

Hooker was experiencing problems with the same arm for the second time. In July, he sustained a fractured arm in a prior fight against Jalin Turner at UFC 290. Hooker claimed that his doctor advised him that the arm did not correctly fuse following the original injury, resulting in the terrible reoccurrence. The most recent surgery entailed infusing bone marrow into the bone to promote optimal healing.
