He also mocked Volkanovski, who was open about his depression after a recent loss. Talking about Sean Strickland’s recent emotional breakdown on his YouTube channel, Cejudo said:

I hope you can come to the consensus to be able to accept the fact that you’re in this game, bro. Learn how to play, don’t be [mocks crying]. You can’t, man. It’s the same with Volkanovski. Volkanovski is showing his cards that he goes through anxiety if he doesn’t fight. Like, bro, like what the f***. Keep some of that s*** to yourself. The world doesn’t need to know.

Sean Strickland recently appeared on This Past Weekend w/Theo Von. There the UFC champion broke down while discussing his childhood trauma. Strickland shared how as a child he was afraid his father would kill his mother. He also spoke about the PTSD he developed because of these early experiences. In one incident, Strickland hid under the bed as his father attacked his mother. Strickland later called the police to have his father arrested.

Meanwhile, Alexander Volkanovski shared his struggles with mental health at the UFC 294 press conference. Volkanovski spoke about how alone time can be scary and that his mind can come up with dark and depressing thoughts. He revealed that he had been struggling with this since 2020.
