Ben Askren is a retired professional mixed martial artist and former amateur wrestler. He is active on social media platforms like X and has a substantial following of over 765K followers on Instagram. Another thing that the former UFC contender is passionate about is Bitcoin. Ben Askren has often shown interest in Bitcoin. He recently reacted to one of UFC color commentator Joe Rogan‘s guest who spoke on bitcoin on Rogan’s podcast.

Neil Jacobs took to X (previously known as Twitter), where he wrote that Bitcoin is up over 115% since Peter Zeihan ( Joe Rogan’s guest) said that Bitcoin would trade below zero. Retweeting this, Ben Askren wrote:

Ben Askren has previously engaged in discussions about cryptocurrency with Joe Rogan. Askren questioned Joe Rogan’s stance on Bitcoin, particularly Rogan’s prediction that Bitcoin could become the only currency globally. He attempted to help Joe Rogan understand cryptocurrency by connecting him with a crypto guru, proposing a solution to Rogan’s perceived crypto problem.

Ben Askren and Jorge Masvidal’s potential boxing match

Jorge Masvidal challenged Ben Askren to a boxing match, reigniting their former rivalry. Masvidal expressed his willingness to return to combat sports specifically for a rematch with Askren. This challenge follows their previous encounter, which ended in a five-second knockout victory for Masvidal with a flying knee to Askren’s face.

Ben Askren responded to Jorge Masvidal’s boxing callout by sharing alleged texts with UFC CEO Dana White. Masvidal expressed interest in a boxing match, stating that Askren wanted MMA. But he had agreed to boxing for Askren’s sake. He wrote on X:

Askren refused to box Jorge Masvidal but challenged him by proposing a rematch of their encounter at UFC 239. Despite his retirement, Askren posted a ripped physique on X, adding intensity to the callout. The situation added intrigue to the ongoing saga between the two fighters.
