Francis Ngannou, the UFC heavyweight champion, and Tyson Fury, the WBC heavyweight boxing champion, are set for their crossover bout. Both fighters had expressed their interest in the fight for a long time, and it had generated significant media attention and interest from fans. Subsequently, the fight was secured after Ngannou left the UFC and signed with the PFL for his professional boxing debut.

Francis Ngannou has had no prior experience in boxing and is currently being trained by former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. However, people have anticipated that Ngannou does not stand a chance against Fury because of his undefeated record. In a recent interview with SHAK MMA, while talking about his upcoming fight, Ngannou predicted that Stipe Miocic would beat Jon Jones at UFC 295 in November. Subsequently, Ngannou stated:

If I had to pick a winner, it would have to be Stipe. Stylistically, I fought Stipe twice, and I think Stipe doesn't have the credit he deserves. Obviously, I won the second time; still, I know that I could have lost that time.

Speaking from personal experience, Ngannou acknowledges that Miocic is a force to be reckoned with. Furthermore, Ngannou stated that Miocic hindered his UFC championship dreams after their five-round fight back in 2018 which Ngannou lost. Subsequently, Ngannou was able to win the rematch, but he still acknowledges Miocic as a great fighter.

Ngannou stated that Miocic has proven himself several times in the heavyweight division with several opponents in his career. Furthermore, Ngannou mentioned how Jon Jones is not used to the heavyweight division since he is from the lightweight division.

Apparently, a fight broke out in the streets, and his father tried to settle it. However, things soon escalated after a person pulled out a knife, but Ngannou’s father swiftly dealt with him.
