Francis Ngannou seems to be having a good time with some of the celebs who came out to support the UFC last weekend. Aside from the former UFC fighter, the event also featured former boxer Floyd Mayweather, Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman, and well-known comedian Kevin Hart.

The lads appear to have had a good time, as Ngannou posted a photo of the festivities on his own Instagram. Francis captions his Instagram post, “We had to escort this guy out for a disturbance at the after party. Anybody know him?”

Usman and Ngannou attended the event to cheer on their friend and fellow African champion Israel Adesanya. The three have been extremely supportive of one another and their respective fighting careers, bonding over their shared love of their homeland.

Aside from their jokes, Ngannou mocked his next potential opponent on social media. The UFC heavyweight champion believes Jon Jones has no right to criticise Adesanya, who has recently emerged as one of the most successful middleweight fighters in history after successfully defending his title five times.

Jones hasn’t competed since defeating Dominick Reyes in February 2020. Following that fight, he relinquished his 205lb belt and declared his ambition to compete in the heavyweight division in the future.

His divisional debut was postponed owing to bulking up and a contract disagreement with the UFC. Jones’ next fight has been cleared of all obstacles, and UFC president Dana White says he is now merely looking for an opponent, with Ngannou being one possibility. He tells Jim Rome, “Jon Jones is ready to go. We’re just waiting for an opponent. It’s either going to be Francis, depending on how long his knee is going to take to recover, or Stipe Miocic.”

Ngannou is coming off a title defense victory over former interim champion Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 in January. He   has been recovering a knee injury in the hopes of returning to the octagon.
