Francis Ngannou recently suffered a brutal knockout loss to Anthony Joshua at the Knockout Chaos. Despite the MMA fighter finding success against Tyson Fury on his boxing debut, he couldn’t replicate the same in this fight. After UFC 299, UFC CEO Dana White reacted to Ngannou’s loss and stated his thoughts.
At the UFC 299 press conference, Dana White addressed Anthony Joshua’s knockout of Francis Nganou. UFC CEO stated he only caught the highlight reel on social media and didn’t watch the fight fully. He discredited the Cameroonian’s performance against the ‘Gypsy King’ suggesting Fury didn’t show up ready. Here is what he said:
Going into the (Tyson) Fury fight, if Fury trained for the fight, didn't show up and looked like he ate Tyson Fury, this is probably the way that fight would have ended too. You know how I feel about crossover to boxing and all, that's how they end. Just like that!Dana White (via UFC 299 Press Conference)
Dana white further reiterated his thoughts about the MMA-Boxing crossover events and ridiculed them. Upon Ngannou’s departure from the UFC to pursue boxing, he addressed the cross-over bouts as ‘Gimmick Fights.’ The UFC CEO and Francis Ngannou have not remained on good terms since the failed contract negotiations.
Although Francis Ngannou lost his fight to Anthony Joshua, many applauded him for his courage to even try out a different sport other than his specialty. Still, the Cameroonian held onto his dreams of winning in boxing and stated he wasn’t done.

Francis Ngannou fired shots at Dana White before Anthony Joshua fight
The feud between Francis Ngannou and Dana White is well-known to the fighting world. As a result, the former UFC champion parted ways with the UFC and pursued free agency. After numerous criticisms about ‘fumbling the bag,’ Ngannou proved the critics wrong by signing a lucrative contract with the PFL and boxing Tyson Fury.
An interviewer from Secondsoutlive questioned Francis Ngannou whether Dana White would appreciate the success he achieved since leaving the UFC. In response, ‘The Predator’ shut all questions about the UFC CEO by stating:

As such, he had no concern about White’s opinion. This interview was taken before his fight with Anthony Joshua. Currently, Francis Ngannou lost his bout to AJ and was at a crossroads of whether to resume his MMA career or persist with his budding boxing venture
The Cameroonian fighter considered both boxing and MMA as a possibility. An MMA fight makes sense especially, considering he hasn’t yet made his PFL debut months after signing a lucrative deal. As such, many expect him to face the current champion Renan Ferreira in a heavyweight clash, as announced earlier.
