There are not a lot of people in the sport of mixed martial arts that could teach Israel Adesanya something that he already hasn’t experienced in his glorious career. However, when a legend like Georges St-Pierre sits down to drop pearls of wisdom, you take it, even if you are The Last Stylebender.

George St-Pierre is one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the octagon. The Canadian mixed martial artist was a former two-division champion and is one of the most-dominant welterweights of all time. Recently, Israel Adesanya, the reigning middleweight champion of the UFC visited GSP in Canada and sat down for dinner and drinks.

“I like you, I’m telling you the truth, man. Heavy is the crown, man. Nobody can understand but it gets worse. It adds more weight to your shoulder every fight,” said GSP to Adesanya, who is currently undefeated as a middleweight in the UFC.

GSP also advised Izzy to not let the criticisms get to him and motivated him to continue doing what he does best. Adesanya is one of the most heavily criticized fighters in the UFC right now.

After only four fights in the UFC, Izzy laid his hands on gold. Since then, it has been nothing but glory for the middleweight champion. Putting away several top-ranked fighters, Adesanya is still criticized for his style of fighting recently. In the last four fights, all of them have gone to the judges’ card for the middleweight champ.

It is not easy being the king of the middleweight division. The expectations are high for Stylebender as he is heading into a grudge fight against the biggest rival from his kickboxing days.
