“I might start camp”- Gilbert Burns positions himself to replace Khamzat Chimaev or Nate Diaz if one pulls out of UFC 279 clash
Nate Diaz Gilbert Burns Khamzat Chimaev
Gilbert Burns wants to be ready for the opportunity of being a substitute fighter if anything happens before the Khamzat Chimaev or Nate Diaz fight. Diaz, who is on his last fight of the UFC contract after waiting for such a long time is finally getting his next opponent.
The Stockton native will take on Chimaev at UFC 279 on September 10 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The fight has already gained massive popularity as both the fighters have a huge fan base.
Chimaev proved his hype against Burns at UFC 273 when both the fighters went on an absolute war. The fighter was chasing the welterweight title but for now it is not a bad idea to fight Diaz which is a great money fight. Diaz on the other hand will have to be fully prepared as he’s not been in the best form lately. Many fans think that Diaz has a disadvantage going against the ‘ Borz’ and it will be an easy win for the Russian.
